About me:

JISEI is a BC based old-school deathcore band blending elements of grindcore, industrial and screamo creating a visceral and cathartic experience. Formed in 2021, they have released numerous EPs, as well as 2 full-lengths to date; 2022’s “Sincerely, Leda & Alexis” and 2024’s “Positive Affirmations”.

With a slew of western Canadian tours, a nine date Japan tour in 2026, and multiple festival dates under their belts (including Armstrong Metal Festival, Girls To The Front, ZBR Fest, and their own Jisleigh Holiday Festival) they have shown no signs of slowing. In 2025 they expanded to a three piece and hit the ground running, beginning work on their upcoming third LP, “Gets Worse” due out November 21st via Zegema Beach Records.

Who I'd like to meet:

Jisei has provided a home for many of the hardcore and metal scenes’ queer and trans members. Their logo has become shorthand for “you are welcome here” on every flyer that features them. With half a decade of relentless touring, recording and performing under their belts, this well-oiled deathcore machine is ready to take their explosive and inclusive live show to a stage near you.
